1. This new low cost hull has four or more flat sides and a flat top and flat bottom and is either made from an oil tanker or uses the latest oil tanker cargo block design and fabrication technology.
 
2. The new hull is very stable since it uses oil tanker cargo block design.

3. The new hull is the low cost per tonne fabrication of any floating offshore platform since it uses the latest oil tanker cargo block design and fabrication technology.

4. The large open hull provides space for process equipment that would normally be placed on the deck thus offering the ability to lower deck cost and lower the platform’s VCG.

5. Deck modules can be placed on top of the hull and the hull can be towed to location like is done for FPSOs, thus eliminating offshore deck installation costs and lowering HU&C costs.
